UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths will return to the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Wednesday from where he had kicked off fresh efforts to revive the peace process in the war-torn country. The envoy will later travel to New York to attend a Security Council session on April 17 and meet with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. Sources from the Yemen government told Asharq Al-Awsat that the envoy will meet in Riyadh on Wednesday with Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi. Griffiths is also expected to hold talks with Gulf officials and western ambassadors in the Saudi capital.
