Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir dismissed on Thursday Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour from his post, in a move that has been widely expected. The decision was taken a day after the minister declared before the parliament that his ministry was suffering from major financial difficulties. The financial crunch had left it unable to pay employee salaries and the rent of diplomatic mission headquarters for the past seven months.
